Description
Whitemans Creek flows through the 107 hectare (266 acre) nature centre property of mature forest, fields and plantations. On the property lies the historic 1841 Apps' Flour and Grist Mill and remnants of the millrace and pond. It is operated by the Grand River Conservation Authourity.
After a hike on the Apps Mills trails I sat along the bank of Whitemans Creek. This was yesterday. I think the most beautiful weather day so far this year. Fluffy clouds, summer temperatures, clear clean flowing fresh water and bright greenery made this one of my favourite places of relaxation so far this year. As the clouds slowly drifted across the sky so did the reflections in the creek. The water is very clean and trout fishermen, who know the secrets of Whitemans Creek, cast their lures over the moving waters.
Not a soul was around when I was there. Perfect.
